Hi, I have this error below although the task marked successfull in RAP and nothing happen : Capture User State State Capture 11135 The task sequence execution engine failed executing an action

are you migrating from xp to xp or xp to windows 7 ? what does your Scanstate.log and Scanstateprogress.log reveal ? make sure (if migrating to windows 7) that you have the SP2version (supports windows 7) configmgr client package from definition installed on your client before attempting to run a capture task cheers niall My step by step SCCM Guides I'm on Twitter > ncbrady

I created a folder named x86 in \\SERVER.XXX.XXX\SMSPKGG$\WDM00015 I copied all file from it to the new folder and i have no error in Scanstate.log but it display an error 0x80004005 on workstation during the task processing

you shouldn't edit the packages directly, only change the source package, anyway, what package is your WDM00015 package is it your USMT 4 package ? if so what's in it ? can you paste the actual errors you are seeing now My step by step SCCM Guides I'm on Twitter > ncbrady

The task is running now within only save, osd and restore data i hope there is no errors during the task... 11 Restart in Windows PE Install Operating System 11134 The task sequence execution engine successfully completed an action 11142 The task sequence execution engine performed a system reboot initiated by an action 11140 The task sequence execution engine started execution of a task sequence After this test i will edit this task to integer office 2010 and others tools like 7zip, adobe reader, etc...if all work fine i will migrate all workstation (about 250)

The task has been completed without error but there is any data restored although the Restore step in task sequence has been filled :(

I have no loadstate.log on client or server, i searched in \CCM\Logs\SMSTSLog\loadstate.log but there is no "SMSTSLog" folder in CCM\Logs\

I found a log named smsts-20110420-174736 maybe it's a good log because there is a restore section failed : Failed to find client signing certificate. No it didn't work and skipped all post software installation, i'm checking log to see what happened exactly, but i have a question : How to separate strings between PATCH, FSP and SMSSLP in installation properties ? maybe that's why it didn't work.... When i set parameters below in installation properties of configmgr, the configmgr can't be installed and i haven't log about Task sequence status in my test workstation FSP="XXX" SMSSLP="XXX" PATCH="%_SMSTSMDataPath%\OSD\WDM00007\i386\hotfix\KB977384\SCCM2007AC-SP2-KB977384-x86-enu.msp" PATCH="%_SMSTSMDataPath%\OSD\WDM00007\i386\hotfix\KB977203\SCCM2007AC-SP2-KB977203-x86.msp" WDM00007 is the package ID of my configmgr client : I have noticed also patch KB977384 is not present in the share folder \\XXX\SMS_WDM\CLIENT\I386\HOTFIX although the package has been installed, while KB977203 is present...
